the perimeter of a rectangle is 40cm and it's breadth is 8cm, find it's length​

Answer:

given,

perimeter (p) = 40 cm

breadth(b)= 8cm

length (l) = ?

we know that ,

perimeter (p)= 2(L+b)

or, 40 =2(L +8)

or, 40 = 2L + 16

or, 40- 16 = 2L

or,24=2L

or, L=24÷2

L=12 cm

#the length is 12 cm
