Hi Mate!!!
Perimeter of rectangle having Length L and breadth b is = 2 ( L + b )
According to the question
L = 5b -4
40 = 2 ( L + b )
40 = 2 ( b + 5b -4 )
b = 4 cm
and
L = 16 cm
Have a nice time.

breadth=x
length=5x-4
perimeter=2(l+b)
=2(5x-4+x)
perimeter=40cm
2(5x-4+x)=40
6x-4=20
6x=20+4
6x=24
x=4
breadth=4
length=5×4-4
=16
area=l×b
=4×16
=64
