Hi Mate!!!

Perimeter of rectangle having Length L and breadth b is = 2 ( L + b )

According to the question

L = 5b -4

40 = 2 ( L + b )

40 = 2 ( b + 5b -4 )

b = 4 cm

and

L = 16 cm

Have a nice time.

nithin441: you check first
Anonymous: L = 16 and b = 4 itz perimeter is 2 ( 16 + 4 ) = 2 ( 20 ) = 40 cm which is same as written in given equation
nithin441: breadth is b
nithin441: Not 5b-4
Anonymous: dear check ur Ans ones more u have done a calculation error
nithin441: where
Anonymous: i post a cmmt on ur ans just see it
Anonymous: have you got it.
nithin441: thanks bro

breadth=x
length=5x-4
perimeter=2(l+b)
=2(5x-4+x)
perimeter=40cm
2(5x-4+x)=40
6x-4=20
6x=20+4
6x=24
x=4
breadth=4
length=5×4-4
=16
area=l×b
=4×16
=64

Anonymous: 6x -4 = 20 => 6x = 20 +4 but not 6x = 24 -4 wrong as u done
