The perimeter of a rectangle is 42 cm and its lenght is double its breadth. Find the length and breadth of the rectangle​

let its length = 2x

perimeter= 2 (L+b)

given perimeter= 42 cm

therefore,

2 ( x + 2x ) = 42 cm

2 (3x) = 42 cm

6x = 42

x=42/6

x = 7

breadth = x = 7cm

length = 2x = 2 × 7 = 14 cm
