Perimeter = 44
2 (L + b) = 44
L + b = 22
L = 22-b. *****eqn a

(L+4)(b+2)= Lb+72
Lb + 2L + 4b + 8 = Lb+ 72
2L + 4b + 8 = 72
2L + 4b = 72 - 8
2(L + 2b) = 64
L + 2b = 32

Substitute for L
(22-b) + 2b = 32
22 + b = 32
b = 10 cm

L = 22- b
= 22-10
= 12 cm

So:
Length= 12 cm
Breadth= 10cm
