The dimensions of the rectangle is 13cm Χ 9 cm.

We know that for a rectangle of length 'l' and breadth 'b', its perimeter is given as:

P = 2(l+b)

Given in the question, that,

P = 44 cm

Length is 5 cm less than double the breadth. So,

length (l) = 2b - 5 where, b is the breadth.

So, perimeter is equal to 2( 2b-5 + b)

= 2(3b - 5)

= 6b - 10

This is equal to 44 cm.

So,

6b - 10 = 44

⇒ 6b = 54

⇒ b = 54/6 = 9

Breadth = 9 cm

l = 2b - 5

= 2(9) - 5

= 18 - 5

= 13

Length = 13cm.
