The perimeter of a rectangle is 45 cm. If length of the rectangle is twice of its width finds
dimensions.​

Given,

Perimeter = 45 cm

Also given, length of the rectangle is twice of its width.

 l = 2b

We know that perimeter of rectangle,

           P = 2(l+b)

      ⇒ P = 2( 2b + b)

      ⇒ P  = 2(3b)

      ⇒ P = 6b

      ⇒ 45 = 6 b

      ⇒ b = 45/6

      ⇒ b =  7.5 cm

  ∴  l = 2 7.5

      l = 15 cm

Length = 15 cm

Breadth = 7.5 cm
