Hi friends
Here is your answer

Let the length is x m
So Breadth is x - 10

Perimeter = 2( L + B)
50 = 2(x + x - 10) \\  \\  \frac{50}{2}  = 2x - 10 \\  \\ 2x = 25 + 10 \\  \\ x =  \frac{35}{2}  \\  \\ x = 17.5 \: m
Therefore
Length is 17.5 m
Breadth is 17.5 - 10 = 7.5 m

Hope it helps you

Given that:

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 50 m.
  • The breadth is 10 m less than the length of a rectangle.

To Find:

  • Its length and breadth.

Let us assume:

  • The length of the rectangle be x.
  • Breadth = x - 10

Formula used:

  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

Finding its length and breadth:

According to the question.

ㅤ↠ㅤ50 = 2(x + x - 10)

ㅤ↠ㅤ2(25) = 2(2x - 10)

Cancelling 2 both sides.

ㅤ↠ㅤ25 = 2x - 10

ㅤ↠ㅤ2x = 25 + 10

ㅤ↠ㅤ2x = 35

ㅤ↠ㅤx = 35/2

ㅤ↠ㅤx = 17.5

Hence,

  • Length = x = 17.5 m
  • Breadth = x - 10 = 17.5 - 10 = 7.5 m
