The perimeter of a rectangle is 500 feet, the ratio of the width to the length is 3:2, What is the length of the rectangle?

Given ratio of breadth to length = 3:2

 Let 3x and 2x be the breadth and length respectively.

 So, Perimeter = 2(l+b)

      500            =2(2x+3x)

      500            = 2(5x)

      500             =10x

=> x                   = 500/10=50

Therfore , length of rectangle , 2x = 2 * 50 = 100 feet
