Given a rectangle ;

  • Perimeter P = 51cm
  • let breadth = b
  • then length = 15/2b

Thus perimeter = 2(l+b)

  • P = 2(l+b)
  • 51 = 2 ( 15b/2 + b )
  • 51 = 2 (17b/2)
  • 51 = 17b
  • b = 3cm

Thus;

  • lenght = 15b/2 => 45/2 => 22.5cm
  • breadth = b = 3cm
