Answer:

let breath =x

    length =2x

perimeter of rectangle = 2x(l+b)

                                      =2x(x+2x)

                                      =6x

                                      =6x=60

                                      =x=60/6

                                      =x=10

length =2x=20m

breath=x=10m

area of rectangle = lxb

                             =20x10

                             =200m

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Answer :-}}}}

The area of the Rectangle is 200 m²

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Explanation :-}}}}

Given :

Perimeter of Rectangle = 60m

Length of Rectangle = Twice its Breadth

To find :

It's area

Solution :

Consider the Breadth as x

Length = 2x

\boxed{\sf{Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)}}

\sf{\implies} \: 2(2x + x) = 60

\sf{\implies} \: 4x + 2x = 60

\sf{\implies} \: 6x = 60

\sf{\implies} \:x =  \dfrac{60}{6}

\sf{\implies} \: x = 10

Value of 2x

\sf{\implies} \: 2 \times 10

\sf{\implies} \: 20

\therefore The Length of the Rectangle is 20m and Breadth is 10m.

\rule{300}{1.5}

As We got the Length and Breadth, We can now get the area.

\boxed{\sf{Area = Length \times Breadth}}

\sf{\implies} 10 \times 20

\sf{\implies} \: 200

\therefore The area of the Rectangle is 200 m²
