we know that
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)
Let the breadth of rectangle be x
according to question
64 = 2(17+x)
64 = 34+2x
2x = 64-34
2x = 30
x = 30/2
x = 15

HENCE, BREADTH OF RECTANGLE IS 15 CM.
..... I hope it will help you

Given :

The perimeter of rectangle = P = 64 cm

The length of the rectangle = L = 17 cm

To Find :

The breadth of the rectangle

Solution :

Let The breadth of rectangle = B cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + breadth )

Or,   P = 2 × ( L + B )

Or,   64 cm =  2 × ( 17 cm + B )

Or,   ( 17 cm + B ) = \dfrac{64}{2}

i.e   ( 17 cm + B ) = 32 cm

Or,  B = 32 cm - 17 cm

Breath = B = 15 cm

Hence, The Breadth of the rectangle is 15  cm . Answer
