Given :

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 70 unit
  • Breadth of rectangle = 10 unit

To find :

Area of rectangle

Forumula used:

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2× ( l + b )
  • Area of rectangle = l × b

Here,

l = length of rectangle

b = Breadth of rectangle

Solution :

Let : Length of rectangle = x unit

Therefore perimeter of rectangle = 2 × ( x + 10 )

➝ Perimeter of rectangle = 2x + (2×10)

➝ Perimeter of rectangle = 2x + 20

Also according to question, perimeter of rectangle = 70 units

This gives :

➝ 2x + 20 = 70

➝ 2x = 70 - 20

➝ 2x = 50

➝ x = 50/2

➝ x = 25

This gives , length of rectangle = 25 unit

Now , using Formula of area of rectangle,

➝ Area of rectangle = 25 unit × 10 unit

➝ Area of rectangle = 250 square unit
