Given that perimeter of the rectangle=70
Breath=x-5
Length=x
Perimeter of the rectangle= 2(l+b)
=2(x+(x-5))=70
=2x+2x-10=70
=2x+2x=70+10
=4x=80
=X=80/4
X=20
Substitute x = 20 in perimeter of the rectangle formula
2(20+20-5))=70
40+40-10 = 70
40 + 30 = 70
70 = 70
Area of the rectangle = l*b
=20*15
=300cm²
