<b> Let,

Breadth of rectangle = x cm

So, Acc. to question,

Length of Rectangle = ( x + 5 ) cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 70 cm (Given)

Now,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

Here, l = length and b = breadth

•°•

70 = 2 ( x + 5 + x )

35 = 2x + 5

2x = 35 - 5

2x = 30

x = 15

Length = x + 5 = 15 + 5 = 20 cm

Breadth = x = 15 cm

Solutions :-

Let the Breadth of rectangle be x cm
So, Length = (x + 5) cm

Given : Perimeter of a rectangle = 70 cm

Find the dimensions of the rectangle :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)
=> 70 = 2(x + 5 + x)
=> 70/2 = 2x + 5
=> 35 - 5 = 2x
=> 30/2 = x = 15

Therefore,
Breadth = x = 15 cm
Length = x + 5 = (15 + 5) cm = 20 cm

Hence,
The dimensions of the rectangle is 20 cm × 15 cm.
