Step-by-step explanation:

breadth=10cm

length=x

perimeter=70cm

2(l+b)=70

2(x+10)=70

2x+20=70

2x=70-20

2x=50

x=50/2

x=25 cm

To Find:-

  • Find the length of the rectangle.

Given:-

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 70cm.
  • The breadth is 10cm.

Solution:-

Let the length be " x "

As we know that:-

Perimeter = 2( l + b )

Putting values:-

70 = 2( x + 10 )

70 = 2x + 20

2x = 70 - 20

2x = 50

x = 50/2

x = 25

Verification:-

2( l + b )

2( 25 + 10 )

2( 35 )

70
