Given:-

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 72m

  • Lenght is 10 more than its Breadth.

To Find:-

  • The Length and Breadth.

FORMULAE USED:-

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B).

Now,

Let the Breadth be "x".

&

Length = x + 10.

Therefore,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(L + B)

72 = 2(x + x + 10)

40 = 2(2x + 10)

72/2 = 2x + 10

36 = 2x + 10

36 -10 = 2x

26 = 2x

x = 26/2

x = 13.

So,

Breadth of Rectangle = "x" = 13m

Lenght of the Rectangle = x + 10 = 23m.

MORE FORMULAE

  • Area of Rectangle = Side × Side

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 4 × Side

  • Area of Rhombus = Product of Diagonal/2.

Perimeter of the rectangle=72m

Let the breath be x

Length = x + 10

Dimensions =

72 = 2 ( x + x + 10 )

72 = 2 ( 2x + 10 )

72 / 2 = 2x + 10

36 = 2x + 10

36 - 10 = 2x

26 = 2x

x = 26 / 2

x = 13m

Breadth = 13m

Length = 13 + 10 = 23m
