Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter=74m

lenght=5+3×breadth. given

perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

74=2(5+3b+b)

74÷2 = 5 + 4b

37 - 5 = 4b

32 = 4b

b = 32 ÷ 4

【 breadth = 8m】

lenght= 5 +3 × b

= 5 + 3×8

= 5 + 24

【length = 29 m】

Answer:

let breath be x and length be 3x+5 ( as given in the question)

P= 2(l+b)

74=2( 3x+5+x)

74= 2(4x+5)

74= 8x + 10

8x= 74-10

8x=64

x=64/8

x=8

therfore :-

L= 3x+5= 3*8+5= 29m

B= 8m
