let the breadth of the rectangle be x

so length = 2x

given perimeter = 75/4

2(x + 2x) = 75/4

6x = 75/4

x = 75/24

x = 25/8

so, breadth = 25/8 m

now length = 2x

= 25/4

so,

area = length × breadth

= 25/8 × 25/4

= 225/32 m²

So,

Area of the rectangle = 225/32 m²

  • Perimeter = 75/4 m [Given]

Let the length of rectangle be x and breadth be 2x.

According to question:-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l +b)

75/4 =2(x+2x)

75/4 =2×3x

75/4 = 6x

x= 75/4×6

x=75/24

x= 25/8

Length = x = 25/8 m

Breadth = 2x = 2 × 25/8 = 25/4 m

Now,

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

= 25/8 × 25/4

=625/32 m²
