Answer:

We know

perimeter of a rectangle=2(l+b)

where

l= length

b= breadth

Let the breadth be x

And Length be 11/4 × x

So making an equation from the data

2( \frac{11}{4} x + x) = 75 \\   \frac{22x}{4}  + 2x = 75 \\

we've to find L.C.M

that is 2×2=4

 \frac{22x}{4}   +  \frac{8x}{4} = 75  \\  =  \frac{30x}{4}  = 75 \\  30x = 75 \times 4 \\  30x = 300 \\ x =  \frac{300}{30}  \\ x = 10

therefore the

breadth=x=10cm

length=11/4 × x=11/4×10=27.5cm

And let's prove whether it's correct or not.

2(27.5 + 10) = 75 \\  = 2 \times 37.5 = 75 \\ 75 = 75

L.H.S=R.H.S

hence proved it's correct

hope it helps
