Let x be the length and y be the breadth of rectangle so area=xy. So according to questions (x-2)(y+2)=xy+36cm^2.
xy+2x-2y-4=xy+36
2x-2y- 4=36
2(x-y)=36+4
x-y=40/2
x-y=20
x=20+y. (i)..
Now it is given ,perimeter=80
So 2(l+b)=p
2(x+y)=80. (ii)......
Put x=20+y in (ii)
2(20+y+y)=80
2(20+2y)=80
20+2y=80/2
2y=40-20
y=20/2
y=10
Put y=10 in (i)
x=20+y
x=20+10
x=30
So length of rectangle=30cm
and breadth=10cm.
