hey dude

ur answer

is there

p = 2(l + b)

84= 2 (19 + b)

84 = 38 + 2b

2b = 84 - 38

b = 46/2

b = 23

then , area of rectangle = l *b

= 19 * 23

.

= 437 cm²

Question :

The perimeter of a rectangle is 84 cm. If the length is 19 cm, find the area.

Solution :

\underline{\bold {Given :}}

  • The perimeter of the rectangle = 84 cm
  • The length of the rectangle = 19 cm

\underline{\bold {To\:Find}}

  • The area of the rectangle.

\rule {193}{1}

\fbox{\purple{Perimeter=2( length + breadth)}}

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x cm.

Atq,

\ \implies Perimeter=2( length + breadth) \\ \implies 84 = 2(19 + x) \\\implies  84 = 38 + 2x \\ \implies 84 - 38 = 2x \\\implies 46 = 2x \\ \implies  \frac{46}{2}  = x \\ \implies 23 = x  \\ \implies x = 23

\therefore{\bold {The\:breadth \:of \:the\: rectangle =23 \:cm}}

\rule {193}{1}

\boxed {\purple{Area=length \times breadth}}

Now we have :

  • The length of the rectangle = 19 cm
  • The breadth of the rectangle = 23 cm

 \implies Area=length \times breadth \\ \implies Area = 19 \: cm\times 23 \: cm \\ \implies Area = 437 \:cm^2

\boxed{\green {\therefore{The \:area\: of\: the\: rectangle\:is\:437 \:cm^2.}}}
