Correct question :-

The perimeter of a rectangle is 98 cm and it's breadth is 9 cm . Find it's :

1) Length

2) Length of the diagonal

3) Area

Given :-

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 98 cm
  • Breadth is 9 cm

To Find :-

  • Length
  • Length of the diagonal
  • Area

Solution :-

1).

We know ,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

98 cm = 2 ( L + 9 cm )

98/2 cm = L + 9 cm

49 cm = L + 9 cm

49 cm - 9 cm = L

40 cm = L

Therefore,

the length of rectangle is 40cm

2).

We know

Length of the diagonal of rectangle

= √ (L) sq + (B) sq

= √ (40) sq + (9) sq

= √ 1600 + 81

= √ 1681

= 41 cm

Hence ,

The diagonal of rectangle is 41 cm

3).

We know

Area of rectangle = L × B

= 40 cm × 9 cm

= 360 sq.cm

Therefore,

Area of rectangle = 360 sq.cm
