Let length of rectangle be x.m.
Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)=2(x+16) m. =2x+32.m
Perimeter of square =4* side .=13*4=52m.

According to the problem..
2x+32=52
2x=20
X=10
Therefore length =10m

Shreya01: it would be breadth
ishansinghh: yes
Shreya01: sorry.. but the steps r same..... just length and breadth would be interchnged
Shreya01: steps r same...
ishansinghh: ha
Shreya01: u hv to do it like this.. it's 1 way
ishansinghh: yes

(P = Perimeter, b = Breadth)
P of square = P of rectangle
Side of Square = 13 m
P of square = 4× side
                    = 4×13m
                    = 52 m
Length of rectangle = 16 m
Breadth of rectangle = b m
P of rectangle = 2(l+b)
52 = 2(16+b)
52÷2= 16+b
26= 16+b
26-16= b
10= b
∴Breadth= 10 m
