Answer:

breadth =8 m

Step-by-step explanation:

given that side of square is 17 and length of rectangle is 26 , also

given that perimeter of square and rectangle is equal

so,

perimeter of square=perimeter of rectangle

4 X side=2(l+b)

4X17=2(26+b)

68/2=26+b

34-26=b

8=b

Solution

Given,

  • the perimeter of a rectangle is equal to that of the square with side 17 m .
  • the length of the rectangle is 26 m .

To find ,

  • we have to find here the breath .

as it is given here that the perimeter of the rectangle is equal to that of the square it means

=> perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle

=> 4× side = 2( length + breadth )

now putting the value we get ;

=> 4×17=2(26+b)

=> 68=2(26+b)

=> 68/2=(26+b)

=> 34=(26+b)

=> b = 34-26

=> b = 8

The breadth is 8m .
