Solution

Given,

the perimeter of a rectangle is equal to that of the square with side 17 m .

the length of the rectangle is 26 m .

To find ,

we have to find here the breath .

as it is given here that the perimeter of the rectangle is equal to that of the square it means

=> perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle

=> 4× side = 2( length + breadth )

now putting the value we get ;

=> 4×17=2(26+b)

=> 68=2(26+b)

=> 68/2=(26+b)

=> 34=(26+b)

=> b = 34-26

=> b = 8

The breadth is 8m .
