Solution!!

It is given that the perimeter of rectangle is equal to the perimeter of square. The side of the square is given. Now, let's find out the perimeter of the square.

Side of square = 16 m

Perimeter = 4 × Side

Perimeter = 4 × 16 m

Perimeter = 64 m

ATQ,

Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of square

Perimeter of rectangle = 64 m

Now, we know the perimeter of the rectangle. The breadth of the rectangle is given. We have to find the length. So, we'll just use the perimeter formula of the rectangle, put the values and we'll have the length of the rectangle.

Breadth = 12 m

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

64 m = 2(Length + 12 m)

64 m ÷ 2 = Length + 12 m

32 m = Length + 12 m

Length = 32 m - 12 m

Length = 20 m
