Question

the perimeter of a rectangle is equal to the perimeter of a square. twice the length of the rectangle is equal to 3 times, its breadth. if one side of the square measures 100cm, find the length and the breadth of the rectangle.

To Find

The length and breadth

L = ?

B = ?

Let's Understand the question

The perimeter of the Rectangle is equal to the

perimeter of the square.

When we twice the lenght of the rectangle is

equal to 3 times means when we get the lenght

we have to twice it to the breath.

If the one side of the square is 100 cm then all

sides are same And then we get

the lenght and breath.

RECTANGLE

FORMULA

= 2 (l+b)

= 2 (3+b)

= 2 (3+x)

2×3+x

= 6+2x

= 8x

We have to twice it

= 8x+2

= 10x

SQUARE

FORMULA

= S

= 100x × 100

= 10,000x

So , here

Rectangle = 10x

Square = 10,000x

Length = 2x= 10,000/10

Length = 1000

Breath = 2x = 1000

Breath = x = 1000/2

Breath = 500

Answer is

Length = 1000

Breath = 500
