Answer:

we have perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square

so 2(l+b) = 4(side)

2(17+b) = 60

17+b = 30

b = 13

The perimeter of a rectangle is same as the perimeter of a square of side 15 cm. If length of the rectangle is 17 cm, find its breadth.

\large \mathfrak{ \blue{ \underline{ \underline{ \dag \: Answer}}}}

Given :

Side \:  of  \: Square \:  = 15 cm.

Length  \: of \:  Rectangle \:  = 17 cm.

Perimeter \:  of  \: Rectangle  \: = \:  Perimeter  \: of  \: Square

To find :

Breadth of the rectangle.

Solⁿ :

Perimeter \:  of \:  Square =  4 \times S

Perimeter of this square

 =  >4 \times  15 = 60 \: cm.

Now,

 Perimeter \:  of  \: Rectangle = 2\times(l + b)

Let the breadth of the rectangle be b.

 =  > 2 \times (17 + b) = 60 \: cm

 =  > 34 + 2b = 60 \: cm

 =  > 2b = 60 - 34

 =  > b =  \frac{26}{2}

 =  > b = 13 \: cm

∴ Breadth of the rectangle is 13 cm✅.

Hope it helps....
