Hii i am too in class 9

 \large \star \underline{ \underline{ \sf \: solution : }} \\

 \large { \underline{ \sf \: given : }} \\

  • Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of square

  • Side = 24cm

  • Length = 17cm

 \\  \large { \underline{ \sf \: finding \:  \: breadth : }} \\

☞︎︎︎ We need to know the Perimeter.

 \\  \large \rm \: since :  \\

  • Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of square

 \\  \large \sf \: perimeter \:  \: of \:  \: square :  \\

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \large \sf \:  = 4 \times side  \\ \\  \large :  \implies \tt \: p = 4 \times 24 \\  \\  \large \sf \: \therefore  \underline{\: p erimeter= 96cm} \\

  • Perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangle

= 96cm

 \\  \large \sf \:  perimeter \:  \: of \:  \: rectangle \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \large \sf = 2(length + breadth) \\  \\  \large \tt  : \implies \: 96cm = 2(17 + b) \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \large \underline{ \sf \: on \:  \: transposing \:  \: terms : }\\  \\  \large \tt  : \implies \:  \frac{96cm}{2} = 17 + b\\  \\  \large \tt  : \implies \:  \frac{ \cancel{96} \:  \: 48cm}{ \cancel2} = 17 + b\\    \\  \large \tt  : \implies \:  48cm= 17 + b\\  \\\large \tt  : \implies \:  48cm - 17cm= b\\  \\

 \large \boxed{ \underline{  \therefore\sf \: breadth = 31cm}}
