Step-by-step explanation:

given : side of square = 12cm

           length of rectangle = 54cm

to find : area of rectangle

solution : perimeter of square = 4*(side)

                                                  = 4*12

                                                  = 48cm

according to question,

3*(perimeter of square) = (perimeter of rectangle)

3*48 = 2*(l+b)

144 = 2*(54+b)

144/2 = 54+b

72 = 54+b

b = 72-54

b = 18

now, area of rectangle = l*b

                                      = 54*18

                                      = 972cm
