• Perimeter of rectangle = 49 cm

• Let one side of rectangle be M cm.

» One side is 7 cm longer than the other.

• Let second side of rectangle be (M - 7) cm

» And the third side is 5 cm shorter.

• Let third side be (M + 5) cm

A.T.Q.

Perimeter of rectangle = Sum of all sides

=> M + M - 7 + M + 5 = 49

=> 3M - 2 = 49

=> 3M = 49 + 2

=> 3M = 51

=> M = 17

_______________________________

Length of one side of rectangle = M = 17 cm

Length of second side of rectangle = M - 7 = 17 - 7 = 10 cm

Length of third side of rectangle = M + 5 = 17 + 5 = 22 cm

Answer:

Perimeter of rectangle = 49 cm

• Let one side of rectangle be M cm.

A.T.Q.

Perimeter of rectangle = Sum of all sides

=> M + M 7+ M + 5 = 49

=> 3M - 2 = 49

=> 3M = 49 + 2

=> 3M = 51

=> M = 17

Length of one side of rectangle = M = 17 cm

Length of second side of rectangle = M - 7 = 17 -

7 = 10 cm

Length of third side of rectangle M + 5 17 +5 = 22 cm
