Answer:

Length=4cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of the rectangular paper= 13cm

Width of the paper(b)= 2.5cm

Length of the paper=?

So we know that, Perimeter = 2×(length+breadth)

Perimeter=2×length + 2×breadth

Putting the given values we get,

13=2×l+ 2×2.5

13= 2l+5

13-5=2l. (Note: l= length)

8=2l

l=8/2

l=4cm

So, the value of length is 4cm...

Thank you..

Hope it helps..

SOLUTION

GIVEN

  • The perimeter of a rectangle piece of paper is 13 cm.

  • It's width is 2.5 cm.

TO DETERMINE

The length

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the perimeter of a rectangle piece of paper is 13 cm.

Width = W = 2.5 cm

Let length = L cm

So by the given condition

2(L + W ) = 13

⇒ L + W = 6.5

⇒ L + 2.5 = 6.5

⇒ L = 4

Hence the required length = 4 cm
