Given :

  • Perimeter of the Room = 200m
  • Breadth of the Room = 40m

 \\

To Find :

  • Area of the Room

 \\

Solution :

✰ In the Question itself, it is given that the shape of the room is Rectangle and we know that Area of Rectangle is given by Length × Breadth. So Firstly we will find the Length of the Rectangular Room and after that we will find its Area. Now for finding the Length of the Room we will be using 2(Length + Breadth) as Perimeter of the Room is also given.

⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀Perimeter of Room = 2(L + B)

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀200 = 2(Length + 40)

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀200/2 = Length + 40

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀100 = Length + 40

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀100 - 40 = Length

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀60m = Length

And,

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀Area of Room = L × B

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀Area of Room = 60 × 40

⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀Area of Room = 2400m²

Therefore, Area of Room is 2400m²
