Given:

✰ Perimeter of a rectangle = 100 cm

✰ Length of a rectangle = 35cm

To Find:

✫ Breadth of a rectangle

✫ Area of a rectangle

Solution:

Let the length of rectangle = l cm

then breath = b cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

Now, we already know that perimeter of a rectangle is 100 cm and by using formula to calculate perimeter, we will find breath.

Perimeter of rectangle = 100 cm

➩ 2 ( l + b ) = 100

➩ 2 ( 35 + b ) = 100

➩ 35 + b = 100/2

➩ 35 + b = 50

➩ b = 50 - 35

➩ b = 15 cm

Breadth of rectangle = 15 cm

Now, let's find out area if rectangular sheet

Area = length × breath

Area = l × b

putting the values in,

➩ Area = ( 35 × 15 ) cm²

➩ Area of rectangle = 525 cm²

Area of rectangular sheet = 525 cm²
