Given, Length of the diagonal = 41 cm

Length of the rectangle = 40 cm

This is a rectangle so all the sides will be parallel to each other and all the vertex angles will be at 90.

So diagonal being the hypotenuse, it will be a right angle triangle

Now, D² = L² + B²

where d is the diagonal

L is the length and B is the breadth

(40)² + b² = (41)²

b² = 1681 - 1600

b² = 81

b = √81

b = 9

Hence Breadth = 9 cm

Now the perimeter of the rectangle is = 2(L+B)

= 2(40+9)

= 2 x 49

= 98 cm.
