Given,

Perimeter of rectangle is 100 cm

length is 36cm

First we will find the breadth of the Rectangle.

perimeter \: of \: a \: rectangle = 2(l + b) \\  =  > 100cm = 2(36cm + b) \\  =  >  \frac{100}{2} cm = 36cm + b \\  =  > 50cm = 36 cm+ b \\  =  > 50cm - 36cm = b \\  =  > 14cm = b

So, we found breadth= 14cm

Given in the Question, if each of the side is halved,what would be the new perimeter?

new \: length =  \frac{orignal \: length}{2}

new \: length =  \frac{orignal \: length}{2}  \\  \\ new \: length =  \frac{36cm}{2}  = 18cm

new \: breadth =  \frac{orignal \: breadth}{2}  \\  \\ new \: breadth =  \frac{14cm}{2}  = 7cm

new \: perimeter \: of \: a \: rectangle = 2(l + b) \\  =  > perimeter = 2(18cm + 7cm) \\  =  >perimeter = 2(25cm)\\  =  >perimeter= 50cm

•Final Answer:-50cm
