ShubhGandhi2903: Area will be in m² ( metre square ) not in m (metre).
ShubhGandhi2903: Then the answer will 0.08 km² not 80 m

The perimeter of Rectangle = 1.2km = 1200m

Let the Breadth of Rectangle = x

Let the Length of Rectangle = 2x

Perimeter = 2 ( Length + Breadth)

Therefore

2(Length + Breadth) = 1200

2(2x + x) = 1200

2(3x) = 1200

6x = 1200

x = 1200 / 6 = 200

x = 200

The Breadth = x = 200m

The Length = 2x = 2(200) = 400m

Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

= 200 × 400 = 80000 m²

Hence Area of Rectangle = 80000 m²
