Solution

Given :-

  • The perimeter of a rectangular field is 120 m.

  • The length of a rectangular field is 35 m.

To Find :-

  • The breadth of the rectangular field.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let,

  • The breadth of the rectangular field be b.

Now,

As we know that :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

Where,

  • The perimeter of a rectangular field = 120 m

  • The length of a rectangular field = 35 m

  • The breadth of a rectangular field = b

Putting the respective value,

120 = 2 ( 35 + b )

120 = 70 + 2b

2b = 120 - 70

2b = 50

b = 50/2

b = 25

Hence,

The breadth of the rectangular field is 25 m .

Given :-

  • Perimeter of Field = 120m
  • Length of Field = 35m

 \\

To Find :-

  • Breadth of Field

 \\

Solution :-

➞ Perimeter of Field = 2 (L + B)

➞ 120 = 2 (35 + B)

➞ 120 / 2 = 35 + Breadth

➞ 60 = 35 + Breadth

➞ 60 - 35 = Breadth

25 = Breadth

________________

Verification :

⟾ Perimeter of Field = 2 (L + B)

⟾ Perimeter of Field = 2 (35 + 25)

⟾ Perimeter of Field = 2 × 60

120 = 120

Hence Verified

Thus Breadth of Field is 25m

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
