Answer:

Let the breadth be x and length be 2x + 3

A/Q,

Perimeter of a rectangular field = 204m

=> 2 (l+b) = 204

=> 2 [(2x+3)+x)] = 204

=> 2 (2x + 3 + x) = 204

=> 2 (3x + 3) = 204

=> 3x + 3 = 204/2

=> 3x + 3 = 102

=> 3x = 102 - 3

=> 3x = 99

=> x = 99/3

=> x = 33

Therefore , Length of a rectangular field is

2x + 3 = 2*33 +3 = 66 + 3 = 69m

and breadth of a rectangular field is 33m

Given: The perimeter of a rectangular field is 204 metres.

Length is 3 metres more than twice its breadth.

To Find : the length and breadth of the field.

Solution:

Breadth of the field  = x  m

Length of the field = 2x + 3  m

Perimeter = 2 ( length + Breadth)

=> Perimeter of the field = 2(x + 2x + 3 )  m

=>  Perimeter of the field = 2(3x + 3 )  m

=>  Perimeter of the field = 6x + 6  m

perimeter of the  field is 204 metres

Equate perimeter

=> 6x + 6 = 204

=> 6x  = 198

=> x = 33

breadth of the field = 33 m

Length of the field  = 69 m
