Given:

The perimeter of a rectangular field is 240m. The length of the rectangular field is 90m.

To Find:

The breadth and area of the rectangle.

Solution:

The given problem can be solved using the formulae of the perimeter and area of the rectangle.

1. The perimeter of the rectangle is 240m.

2. The perimeter of a rectangle with length l and breadth b is given by the formula,

=> Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 x ( l + b ),

3. Substitute the values of perimeter and length,

=> 240 = 2( 90 + b),

=> 120 = 90 + b,

=> b = 30.

=> The breadth of the rectangle = 30m.

4. The area of the rectangle with length l and breadth b is given by the formula ( A ) = l x b,

=> Area of the rectangle = 90 x 30,

=> Area of the rectangle = 2700m^2.

Therefore, the breadth of the rectangle is 30m and the area of the rectangle is 2700m^2.
