Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b )

24O = 2( 9O + b)

24O = 18O + 2b

24O - 18O = 2b

6O = 2b

b = 6O ÷ 2

.: b= 3O m

Given :

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 240m
  • Length of Rectangle = 90m

 \\

To Find :

  • Breadth of Rectangle

 \\

Solution :

✰ In this question, Perimeter of Rectangle and Length of Rectangle are given and we have to find the Breadth of Rectangle . For Finding the Breadth of Rectangle we will use Perimeter of Rectangle ( 2 ( Length + Breadth ).

Breadth of Rectangle :

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (L + B)
  • 240 = 2 ( 90 + Breadth )
  • 240 / 2 = 90 + Breadth
  • 120 = 90 + Breadth
  • 120 - 90 = Breadth
  • 30m = Breadth

Verification :

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (L + B)
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (90 + 30)
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 × 120
  • 240 = 240

Hence Verified

Therefore

  • Breadth of Rectangle = 30m

✰ What if we need to find area ?

  • Area of Rectangle = L × B
  • Area of Rectangle = 90 × 30
  • Area of Rectangle = 2700m²

Thus Area of Rectangle is 2700m²

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
