3/5km = 3/5*1000 m = 600 m

Now,

Perimeter = 2 (l+b) ; Let the Width be x. So the length is 2x.

So,

600 = 2 * ( x +2x )

600= 2(3x)

600 = 6x

So, x = 600/6 = 100 m; and the breadth is 2 *100 = 200 m

So, the Area = Length *Breadth

Therefore, Area = 100 * 200

= 20000 m square = (20000) / 1000 =20 km square

Hope it helps!

riya1000: Your answer is wrong
themetal01: where from 200 came in solution it should be 600
themetal01: area = 20000 m²
riya1000: Ok?
themetal01: your answer is wrong not mine
riya1000: Ok. Thanks for correcting me
themetal01: ya now it is okay
themetal01: no problem
