Answer:

Length = 100 m

Breadth = 60 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Length : Breadth = 5 : 3

Define x:

Let x be the constant ratio

Length : Breadth = 5x : 3x

Solve x:

The perimeter is 320 m

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breath)

320 = 2 (5x + 3x)

320 = 2( 8x )

16x = 320

x = 20

Find the length and breadth

Length = 5x = 5(20) = 100 m

Breadth = 3x = 3(20) = 60 m

Answer: Length is 100 m and Breadth is 60 m

Let length and breadth of rectangular field be 5x and 3x.

Thus, Perimeter of rectangular field = 2( l+b)

320= 2(5x + 3x)

160= 5x + 3x

160= 8x

x = 20

Now, length of rectangular field = 5x

= 5(20)

= 100m

Similarly, breadth of rectangular field = 3x

= 3(20)

= 60m

Hence length of rectangular field is 100m and breadth is 60m.

Hope it helped :-)
