Solution

Given :-

  • The perimeter of a rectangular field is 500 m.

  • The length of a rectangular field is 150 m.

To Find :-

  • The area of rectangular field.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Firstly, we have to find the breadth

Let,

  • The breadth of the rectangular field be x

As we know that :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

Where,

  • The perimeter of the rectangle = 500 m

  • The length of the rectangle = 150 m

  • The breadth of the rectangle = B

Putting the respective value,

500 = 2 ( 150 + b )

250 = 150 + b

b = 250 - 150

b = 100

Hence,

The breadth of the rectangular field = 100 m

Now,

As we know that :-

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Where,

  • The length of the rectangle = 150 m

  • The breadth of the rectangle = 100 m

Putting the respective value,

Area of rectangle = 150 × 100

Area of rectangle = 15,000

Hence,

The area of the rectangular field = 15,000 m
