Given :-

  • the length of a rectange is 5m more than it breadth
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 130m

 \\

To Find :-

  • Length and Breadth of Rectangle

 \\

Solution :-

⟾ Let the Breadth of Rectangle be x

⟾ Then Length of Rectangle will be x + 5

According to the Question :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➞ 130 = 2 ( x + 5 + x )

➞ 130 / 2 = x + 5 + x

➞ 65 = 2x + 5

➞ 65 - 5 = 2x

➞ 60 = 2x

➞ 60 / 2 = x

➞ 30 = x

________________

Verification :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (x + 5 + x)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (30 + 5 + 30)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (35 + 30)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 × 65

➞ 130 = 130

Hence Verified

________________

Therefore :

  • Length = x + 5 = 30 + 5 = 35m
  • Breadth = x = 30m

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
