The perimeter of a rectangular field of breadth 23/2
cm is 30 cm. Find the length of the field.

perimeter of rectangular field = 2(l+b)

l = x

b = 23/2cm

& perimeter = 30 cm

therefore, p = 2(l+b)

30 = 2 (x+23/2)

15 =( 2x + 23 ) / 2

30 = 2x+23

2x = 7

»[x = 7/2 cm] .
