let the breadth is x
then length is x+10

perimeter = 140
2(l+b) =140
2(x+10+x)=140
2(2x+10)=140
4x+20=140
4x=120
x=120/4
x=30
now
breadth =x=30
length=x+10=30+10=40

perimeter = 140 metres
let the breadth be x
perimeter =2(L+B)
140 =2(2x+10)
140=4x+20
4x = 140-20
x = 120รท4
x= 30

length is 40 meters
breadth is 30 meters
