Answer:

l=50,b=23

Step-by-step explanation:

l=4+2b, b=b

perimeter of the rectangle =2(l+b)

146=2(4+2b+b)

146=2(4+3b)

146/2=(4+3b)

73=4+3b

73-4=3b

69=3b

69/3=b

23=b

l=4+2b

l=4+2*23

l=4+46

l=50

Answer :-

The length of the rectangular garden is 50 m and the breadth of the rectangular garden is 23 m.

Explanation :-

Given :

Perimeter of rectangular garden = 146 m

And length is 4 m more than twice it's breadth.

To find :

Length and breadth of the garden

Solution :

Le the breadth be 'x'

Therefore, the length is (2x + 4)

We know that the formula of perimeter of a rectangle is = 2 (length + breadth)

According to question,

 =  > 2(x + 2x + 4) = 146

 =  > 2(3x + 4) = 146

 =  > 6x + 8 = 146

 =  > 6x = 146 - 8

 =  > 6x = 138

 =  > x =  \dfrac{138}{6}

 =  > x = 23

Therefore, The value of x is 23.

Hence,

The breadth (x) = 23 m

The length (2x + 4) => 2×23 + 4 = 46+4 = 50 m
