Answer:

the length is 10 more than the width => l = w + 10.... eq(1)

perimeter is 80 cm => 2l + 2w = 80cm...eq(2)

now substitute eq(1) in to eq(2)

2(w + 10) + 2w = 80

2w + 20 + 2w = 80

4w + 20 -20 = 80 -20

4w = 60

w = 15

l = w + 10 = 15 + 10 = 25

2*15 + 2*25 = 80
