Given :-

  • Perimeter of a rectangular park = 156m
  • Let the breadth of the park be x
  • Therefore, length = 3x - 2

We know that :-

  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (l + b)
  • L = length
  • B = Breadth

According to the question:-

  = > 156m = 2(3x - 2 + x) \\ = > 156m = > 8x - 4 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \\ = > 156m + 4 = 8x \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \\ = > 8x = 160m \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \\ = > x = \frac{160}{8 } = 20 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:

Therefore,

  • Breadth = x = 20m
  • Length = 3x - 2 = 20 x 3 - 2 = 60 - 2 = 58m

Hope the answer helps you.
